firefox: customization
opera: pure speed

both are more secure than internet explorer. But keep IE for sites that require it and windows updates.

Opera also has a very high level of customisation its just requires a little more knowledge, opera also has the advantage of having most features you need allready included so no need for many extensions/plugins for it. Alot of Firefox extensions people commonly use are standard opera features, i rarely use IE to slow and insecure opera is what im using it only installed it to try it for a little while and never got rid of it, its that good its also replaced thunderbird as my rss reader and Mirc as my chat client(its better than mirc).

So at the moment im reccomending opera 9 over firefox at the moment at least until firefox 2.0.

Firefox is what I use. I'm thinking of switching to Opera if people are saying they are very quick. However, I think Firefox is the safest way to go, so just use Firefox for security purposes.
