I have a snoy Vaio, connected to the inter both at work and at home, that loses the browser(http) connection occasionally. When it loses that conn3ection, I still ahve email capability to send and receive through multiple servers. I do lose all IM capabilities. I have installed SP2 with no effect on this issue. Any ideas?

Hi lwpeterson and welcome to the GTG forums. At this point it could be any number of things that are causing the problem. I would suggest going to this link and following the steps outlined for scanning your system with the standard virus/malware applications. If that doesn't resolve the problems then continue with the directions for posting a HijackThis log in the Malware forum. We can then analyze what's going on with the information provided. Include any information to assist the responder in reviewing your log.
