Delay in online games

I started having some problems when i bought a new epox motherboard. Whenever i play some online fps(first person shooter) i have a delay of 1/4 second. It looks like this, I press the button on my mouse and the bullet fires half second after. Every thing was allright before but when i got a new mother board this happens. I searched for viruses and other things but found nothing. Then I formated C partition and installed XP with SP2 corp. edition again , it didn't work . I think it doesnt have anything to do with my adsl modem cause i download files with max speed. If you have some ideas or can help plz post a reply.
