You see, I've got a virus (win32.kelvir.f) in my windows 98 computer. One friend suggested me to reformat my whole hard drive. After reformatting, I can't even open windows 98. After I start the computer, it would say

Invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and then press any key

What should I do?

You're not serious, are you? If you are, you need to hit your ex-friend upside the head.

If you reformatted your harddrive, EVERYTHING on it is gone, erased, history, gone and joined the bleeding choir invisible.

You would need to reinstall windows.

Oh no! *Scurries off to hit my ex-friend.
How do I reinstall windows? Do I need to get the software? Can I do it by myself?

yes you can do it yourself

yes, you need a windows disk

After that, it's pretty easy, but everything is gone.

Generally, set your computer to boot to the CD first, put in the windows disk, reboot your computer....follow the prompts.

Better, yet, get your friend over to do it while you watch some hoops today, since he screwed it up.
