HI,
I have a home network, but one of the computers in the network will not connect to the home network, and has an internet connection that practically does not work. All of the other computers can share the internet connection, printers, and files. The computer that refuses to connect will only connect to google (although it sometimes connects to other pages but will take a very long time to do this); it will definitely not connect to the home network.

The other computers can sometimes connect to it through the home network.

I tried help and support with XP, but none of the solutions worked. Some of the solutions they have are: iprelease, iprenew, pinging, making static ip addresses, checking proxy, and some more......

I tried looking to see if it was a virus, but mcafee found none.

I don't know what else to do, please help.

try start > run > cmd > netsh winsock reset

didn´t work, still refuses to connect to home network, and same problems with internet.

on the computer that's not working do start > run > cmd > ipconfig /all
and post the results labled "comp1"

do the same on one of the machines that DOES work and post the results labled comp2
