I want to send an email from a BATCH file when it is completed- the email server would be an outlook exchange server.

I found this
mailto:<to>?subject=<subject>&cc=<cc>&bcc=<bcc>&body=<message_body>

BUT it only CREATES The message- I want it sent as well

After looking at Rob van der Woude's excellent website at http://www.robvander....com/email.html, it seems that mailto has this effect. Create the mail. You will have to send it yourself.

The same page says that you can look at third party tools, that you may install and use as a command line utility in your batch file.

The site http://www.gboban.com/ presents a GPL'ed tool that you could use (bottom of the page). Its name is GBMailer. Take a look at it.

Hope that it can help !

Thank you
I saw the info at the Rob van der Woude's web site- and I knew that would not work for me because I was not going to be here at that time to 'send the email' myself.
I will look at the other site you mentioned
