Hi All,
I have a system, consisted of Intel Dual Core 2.66GHz on Intel mobo with an onboard sound chip. I did clean install Vista Beta2 on 120GB harddisk.
The installation was smooth and run on first time.
But I saw that volume icon in tray has a red X on it and not operable. There is a tooltip that said "no audio device is connected".
What should I check to get audio on external speaker ?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Amri

Check you have drivers for your onboard sound, also if its not working after than RC1 is out in a few days and its alot better than beta2.

Make sure you have done a windows update as this may include drivers for your sound card and if not go onto the manufacturers page and see if they offer vista drivers.
