I have formatted my hard drive. The system is an HP. I am trying to use the recover disks that came with the computer for ME. I put in 1 of 3 disk. The disk starts running but after a few minutes I get cdr101 error. I do not remember if it is extracting or inflating, but think it is extracting. The path reads
WINDOWS/OPTIONS/CABS/OLS/AT&T/ATTKIT.EXE.
then I get cdr101 error.
any ideas on what to do. I have tried several times and it keeps getting stuck there. I have formatted the drive with the recovery disks and by typing at c\\: format c:

Could be a dirty recovery CD, fingerprints etc. Carefully clean it with one of those disc cleaning kits you can buy.
