your paging /swap file should be set at 1.5 times the amount of RAM installed...set the mimimum and the maximum to the same size....if you have a gig of ram then the amount would be 1500 MGb

I don't know if it'll fix my problem since I don't have anythign plugged into my USB port but maybe it was my raid controller.

what is swap / page file...go here
http://whatis.techta...i213077,00.html

Where do I set the placing and size of the page file?

At Control Panel | System | Advanced, click Settings in the “Performance” Section. On the Advanced page of the result, the current total physical size of all page files that may be in existence is shown. Click Change to make settings for the Virtual memory operation. Here you can select any drive partition and set either ‘Custom’; ‘System Managed’ or ‘No page file’; then always click Set before going on to the next partition.
what ever the recommended size is ...set the minimum and maximun to the same number...its in MB so 1000 MG = 1 GB

You say you are using a second hand video card? Using newer drivers can sometimes cause problems with older video cards. Does the problem happen with the original drivers?

Yep it happened with the old vid driver too. I thought that maybe my driver was out of date and could be causing the problem because it wasn't compatible with my new motherboard. I updated and it still restarts.

I just exchanged video cards with my friend and I guess its only a matter of time til I see if it restarts or not...

well it's not a faulty video card either....

Can the error be caused by the main hard drive that has windows on it???
