anyway, it should be simple but of course, theres always a caveate whatever that means.
Ive got a vhs tape in the vcr. its playing out to Pinnical Dazzle converter which has video and two adudio inputs. Pretty simple so far right?
the other side is even easier. Its just a usb plug.
now it gets complicated like everything else in life.
then Ive got Premiere Pro 2.0 running trying to capture it but Premiere Pro will not recognise the signal from Dazzle -- IT HAS as drop down menu with a whole bunch of possible inputs ranging from cameras to recording decks and ONE happens to be Dazzle (bedazzle ?) I set it on generic, I set it on "alternative I and II but there is not connection between the capture and the deck (vcr).
Premiere Pro will recognize my camcorder (Panasonic DVD101) BUT Pdvd101 does NOT have a LINE IN option. The only way you can get footage into the camera is to shoot it (and I dont want to take a picture of the tv )
so the other option I tried was to capture using good 'ol windows movie maker - through the Dazzle hardware, which Worked! BUT there was no sound.
over at the Adobe Forum, RGB told me that wasent a plausible direction cause he says Dazzle puts out DV.avi Type 2 which will not work with PP2.0
Thus, we captured, but we dident inhale
discuss..
