I have been unable to resolve this issue after several days. I am running XP sp2 and using a Mocrosoft MN-500 wireless router and a linksys USB adapter WUSB ver. 2.6. It worked fine for over 2 months. Then periodically I would lose my connection. If I restarted the PC it would then automatically connect again with no trouble. Now it has gotten to the point where I can't even find find a wireless network. Just before this occurred I noticed a problem with the driver for the USB wireless adapter. I tried updating the driver with no result. Also, now within Network Connections the gateway icon is gone not allowing me to access the router. I tried unplugging both the modem & router but it is still missing. I am at a loss on what to try next, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am still having a problem connecting wirelessly. I tried to uninstall/reinstall the usb wireless adapter as well as update the driver with no success. I have also tried to do a system restore to a time when it was working with no luck. I dread calling linksys for IT support and would appreciate any suggestions. How can I get rid of the current wireless connection set up and try to install it again from scratch? Also, to go wireless, should I have the 1394 net adapter and LAN enabled/disabled? I can connect directly to the modem and have played around with the settings and can't remenber how it should be configured.
