Hello, first time here

I recently installed a game onto my computer, as i boot the exe up it works fine, untill i get to a certain point, in which the whole computer restarts, and when i re boot it get the Send Microsoft the 'we screwed up' thing. I heard that there was a way to bring up a B.S.O.D instead of the system simply restarting, and that from the screen i could close it and get to the game. If this is true, could some one help me with this? I believe this is the home version of XP. Also if it helps, the game is Black and White: Creature Isle (Lionhead Studios). Thanks much.
