needvvideo encoders for real media player files

Downloaded files using real player media and cannot find encoder for any other format. The site only allows us to download and play via RealPlayer but I wanted to record it to a DVD and play it on my home TV. Any ideas on how change the format? Any encoders you know? Please help.

Type of File: RAM file (3126_1.ram)
Home DVD Player: Sony S-Master 5.1 sound/ home theater system.
