Hi

My cell phone is Bluetooth 1.2. Can I still pair this with newer 2.0 Bluetooth devices? If I can, will I reap the benefits of the speed and range of the Bluetooth 2.0? Thanks.

PS

Of all the forums I have participated in and continue to, tech or otherwise, Geeks to Go has always been the most helpful and the fastest to respond. You all blow the doors off of CNET. Keep it up!!!

You should be able to use a 2.0 device similar to USB 2.0 devices working on older version USB ports, however its limited to the older slowest specification, with two devices of different versions but still compatible speeds and output will be limited to the slowest/oldest device/interface.
