yea this seems to only be a recent problem, after 5-8 hours of uptime i can no longer connect to the internets, the wireless system I'm using is being a pain in the [bleep] any1 have a clue (thats rhetorical) oh btw i'm runnin winXP(x64)

Have you tried to reset your modem and router (if you don't have a router, leave that out). Simply take out power to the modem and leave it off for at least 15 seconds, and then restore it's power, and leave it for about 30 seconds, and then try connecting. Note that it may take a minute or two for the computer to get its IP address assigned.
