for Compaq, it is probably the same thing because they usually have recovery drives in little partitions to restore your OS such as XP.

when posting here im using a compaq presario sr1115cl. i tried loading the cd on it. it boots it fine, even asks me if i wanna install, goes to its desktop

tried 3 4.3gig's 2 6.4gigs and 1 15gig

i eneded up getting a free dvdrom drive and threw it in, well it boot ubuntu completely, and installed
sadly i did it all for nothing as i didnt like it. reformated installed xp pro

I didnt like it either.. it took me hours to install programs from research.. I need to study it more.. its good for a free OS though
