Ok. . .here is my system and my specs if you want them, then I'll get on with the questions.

Dell Inspiron 8200 (Laptop)
Geforce 4 440 GO w/ 64mbs
512 mbs RAM
Pentium 4, 1.6ghz


Ok, so the question is....can I remove my graphic card from my system? I want to upgrade my Geforce with a new version, but I don't know if my computer is enabled to have the graphic card removed. I've searched the internet every where and got no answers, so I ended up coming here and seeing what you guys know about it. Remember, it's a laptop...I bought it in summer of 2002. Thanks a bunch!

Changing the graphics chip on a laptop is not possible, it's a chip soldered on to the motherboard, not a removable card like most desktop PCs has. Changing it (if, for example, the graphics chip died) is a job for a laptop repair centre.

yea, the onlyu laptops i kow of todate that have replaceable videocards are alienwares, and they are not normal video cards, you gotta buy them from Alien Ware, infact i'm not even sure if they do that anymore even....
