I've got this file called 2309osos.fw . I need to disassemble it but when i try to the dissasembler gives me a "this is not a valid win32 application" error. So i opened it with notepad and read the first couple of lines which read "If you wish to dissasemble this file for reverse-engineering purposes please chop off the first 512bytes before loading it into your dissasembler".

Question: how do i "chop off" the first 512bytes? this question may be stupid i don't know, im fairly new to this.

Open the file in notepad again.
Put the cursor in the upper left corner at the left of the first char.
Press 512×{DEL}.

Save it and your done.

***EDIT***

Make a new textfile and rename it to "Del.vbs".
Make sure you can see the complete extension of the textfile when you create it.
The icon has to be a vbs icon, not a simple text icon.

Paste this code in there and save/run it.
set WSH = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Wscript.sleep "2000"
WSH.SendKeys "{DEL 512}"

After running the vbs, you got 2 seconds before the script starts to run.
