i have tryed everything u said on here to get hijackthis and nothing is working my explorer keeps shutting down nothing works. Also when i start scanning with a any antivirus my computor shut down and before a virus came up a (trojan horse) it came up when the coputor reboots its a install exe plz can someone help me it would be much appreciated thanku I even tryed doing the scans in safe mode still shutts off someone told me it may be my system files corupt but i dont have original xp cd i also added a smit report for u

Sound bad, so I am not promising anything but I will try. Are you saying that anytime you run a file, like an executable file the machine reboots? Can you get the following file and download it to your computer and run it and post the log for me?

Please RIGHT-CLICK HERE and Save As (in IE it's "Save Target As", in FF it's "Save Link As") to download Silent Runners.

• Save it to the desktop.
• Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
• You will receive a prompt:
  • Do you want to skip supplementary searches?
    click NO
• If you receive an error just click OK and double-click it to run it again - sometimes it won't run as it's supposed to the first time but will in subsequent runs.
• You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)

I see the little piece of garbage now. Lets try the automated tool first.

Please Download MsnVirRem.exe to your desktop from one of the following mirrors.

• • Mirror 1
  • Mirror 2
  • Mirror 3
• First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
• Double click MsnVirRem.exe to run it
• Once open, click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"
  <<Your computer will now be scanned for Infected Files>>
• When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
• Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
• After the Reboot, you WILL receive file not found errors (usually 4) please acknowledge them and continue.
• A Message should popup from MsnVirRem if not, double click the program again and it will finish

Please Post the contents of C:\msnvirrem.log along with a fresh HijackThis log

i did what u said and it loads up and dissapers. I also didnt mention i cant turn my security center on either and my system restore is also locked up and my firewall setting aswell

Print these directions out

click >>start>>control panel >>add/remove programs and uninstall the following if present:
webHancer
MalwareBot

Reboot to safemode

Show hidden files and folders

• Click start >>> control panel
• click the tools tab and then click folder options
• Click view
• tick the show hidden files and folders radio button
• Uncheck hide extensions for known file types
• Uncheck hide protected operating system files
• Click Apply then Ok

Using windows (rightclick start, left click explore)Delete the following folders:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ffdvabb
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nfomon
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vidmon
C:\Program Files\MalwareBot

Reboot (youll get an error when you reboot, that is normal.)

Post a new Hijack log and we will continue

Go to Start > Run and type Services.msc then hit Ok
Scroll down and find the below service :

When you find it, double-click on it. In the next window that opens, under the General tab click the Stop button, then click the drop-down box to change the Startup Type to Disabled. Now hit Apply and then Ok.

Please download Comboscan and save it to your Desktop.

• Double-click on comboscan.exe and follow the prompts.
• Please note that some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the Internet -- please allow it.
• When it has finished, ComboScan will open Notepad with a log file -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) this logfile as your reply.

Additionally, a folder will open with two text files. Please attach the Supplementary.txt file with your reply. To attach a file to a new post, simply:

1. Click the [Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
