Hi, whenever I play a media file (in Windows Media Player), the following message from Nero appears on top of it:
"New features available!
Your serial number supports additional features which are not installed on this system. In order to enable them please update your software with the latest Nero update."

So I click "Update", and it says:
"Sorry, but the update could not be started."

This happens with all MP3s, MPGs, AVIs, WMVs etc. The default player is set to Windows Media Player for these files types as well.

Any suggestions, this is extremely annoying!#

Thanks

Hi tomdrayson...

Try downloading and installing This Update from Nero.

The update asks me if I want to repair, modify, or uninstall, so I selected repair.
There is no change after the installation, the popup still appears when I try to play anything. And it still doesn't update.

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I tried uninstalling Nero, and the popup goes away (obviously), and reinstalling it, and now it does exactly the same thing. Has no-one else had this problem with Nero on Vista?
