I am finishing up a CPU repair and was wondering how Norton and AVG virus protection stack up against each other is one better then the other and for what reasons? If I can save myself $40-$50 not buying Norton that perfect but is it worth it?

to be honest:
i work with them dayly for companies and customers:

i would rate them this way:

AVG 35/100
NORTON 2005 85/100

I would go for the norton 2005!!

well i've tried avg and never really liked it. However I have used avast and like it a lot.

Norton is the premium. course I go into the antivirus options and turn of the internet worm protection and reable the xp sp2 firewall. causes problems with my gaming.

Personally i don't rate Norton, had it on my system and it hogged up a lot of system resources, dump it.
There is plenty of other good AV programs out there and a lot of free versions,i use" EZ Trust" http://store.ca.com/...797880000179825 and find it much better than Norton, just a thought but i would shop a round,

Good luck, :tazz:
