Hey it's been ages since I've posted here. I hope everyone's doing good. I plan to buy a new machine, preferably a ntebook this time for mobility.
I'm going to need it mostly for regular work ... but since i'm an architect i'm gonna use it for AutoCAD as well as 3D Max,P hotoshop and graphic/design related software. Oh yes and occasional gaming. It doesn't have to be that high end, just should be able to run year old games smooth , and i should be able to play new ones without having to curse the performance too much - half an hour of good fun is what i mean.

1GB RAM , a DVD writer are musts. I don't want any Intel Graphics chipset. It must be either a GeForce go or ATI.

Till now my best choice would be the Dell XPSm1210 with added upgrades of 1GB RAM and 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7400 TurboCache.

I don't mind AMD either.

Oh yes ... my budget is around US$1200 give or take a $100 or INR 50000. I have an option of importing it from Taiwan. My choice (above) is costing me TND 40900 in Taiwan. (1 US$ = 33 NTD)

So could anyone help ? Suggest models that would be available in India or Taiwan.

Thank you.
