Network a 360 w/o Zune or WMP 11?

Is it possible to to network a 360 with your PC without using Zune software or Windows Media Player 11? I can't get either software to install correctly on my machine, long story short I'm wondering if this is even possible. Has anyone done this before?

People say that TVersity is a good program to use. Most people use TVerstiy over WMP11 or Zune anyway. Try it out and see how that works for you.
