epson stylus c46

My printer (epson stylus c46) wont print, i think its because its Offline and it also says its idle, wat does this mean, how can i get it online?

Remove and then re-insert its USB lead from either printer or PC, check in printers and faxes if it is online, if not click start then run then type services.msc then press enter then scroll through list to Epson printer status if you have it and also print spooler to make sure both are started, if you double click them you can set the start up type to automatic.

If it is still offline and you have the software CD, go to add / remove and uninstall printer then re-install. Probably best to download the driver from Epson to get the current one, then install any additional software from the Printer CD
