This is a kind of self promotion post :whistling:

I have written a Firefox toolbar for formating text with BBcode, HTML or Wiki code. Since there must be a lot of people here that post on many forms I thought I would mention it. Not ever forum offers the nice toolbar for formating the text. But it out does all that do for ease of use and simplicity.

If your interested you can download if from HERE

I can't open the page. It says "Page isn't redirecting properly" in FF. :whistling:

I accidentally deleted something out of a file and messed things up, I fixed it now.

I can't wait to see what everyone thinks of it.

Michael,

I downloaded it and installed it. It's very handy; I'm using it right now (to make the list below), great work

Couple of suggestions (take them as you will):
  • Allow more customization in the options dialogue. For example, if I want the HTML bold tags to say <strong> instead of <b>, or in case certain systems of BB code use different tags
  • Add a smiley box drop down window (that is again customizable).
  • I don't know if this is just my theme or what, but only the toolbar buttons with arrows (Text, color picker, BBcode) have mouseover effects (the button is indented when the mouse goes over it and clicks it). I think it'd be nice if all the buttons had this mouseover effect.
Keep up the good work :whistling:

Yes I want to do the <strong> <em> and <del> tags but, that has to wait till I get some time to do it.

A smiley box is a great I idea. I am going to add that to my list.

It is only your theme that causes the hover effects, the default does not. And I don't want to bloat the extension, so I not going to add them. It also means more bandwidth used, am I having problems with that as it is.

I know there is a problem with the size button, but have you found any others that some forums have problems with?
