i am trying to set up a wired home network on 2 computers. i have a comcast highspeed cable internet modem connected to a router. both computers are connected to the router but for some reason only one computer can be connected at a time. The first computer connects with no problem but the second always has limited or no connectivity. i have read and fallowed the instuction on the tutorials. i have called costumer support for both the ISP and the router. none have been able to help. i was wondering if anyone knows of anything that might be limiting the connection. any network or firwall settings that may be blocking the connection on 2 computers. any special settings or restrictions from the isp that are preventing me from connecting 2 computers to the internet at the same time.

Hello okaym and welcome to G2G,

Are you sure it is a Router and not just a Switch? Whats the manufacturer and model number? Please follow the instructions on post # 1 and 2. Thanks
