not sure if it's the 2nd one or tcp/ip, appletalk, netbeui, netbios, ipx/spx... what do you guys think, please?

It might be more efficient to ask the person who told you to brush up on your terminology to be specific as to what area you are weak in, and ask for suggestions to meet the goal being set.
