It successfully registered that time, but Spywareblaster still gives me the same error message.

I'm just uninstalling it and reinstalling it now, see if that helps any.

Silly question did you install by right click > run as administrator ?

Is the error the same ?

Not silly - I keep forgetting about that admin thingo, still getting used to Vista...

I'll uninstall and try again with administrator option :)

Exactly the same error... This is getting annoying! :)

Any more ideas? I've given up myself (still learning about Vista for now), but I would like to get it working.

I finally got around to trying everything from that link, but unfortunately the same error still occurs, this is really confusing... I'm kind of tempted to just not worry about it, but if you have it working in Vista, then why can't I? Weird. Apparently it does work, it just brings the error up when I try to update.
