Every attempt I've made at installing xp, (removing vista voids my warrenty) hasn't followed through. Now it has been recommended that I use bcdedit to solve the problem. Now when I run bcdedit either normally or as administrator, it closes as soon as it loads. I'm running off of Vista and trying to dual boot with xp sp2. Any help would be appreciated.

Have ya tried to use VistaBootPRO instead of BCDedit?

Link

The software helps tremendously when wanting to edit bcdedit. I've used it a couple of times after cloning vista and xp and love it. Should be pretty straight forward when trying to make your vista and xp dual boot...... Hope that helps! :whistling:
