That's how I also have been pronouncing it. I think I'm going to stick to it in my head...It's a lovely name ... now I just have to get used to pronouncing it ... I've been saying it as starry without the t!

Thanks to you all - I do like my name, as it's unusual. I'm sure there are a lot of people in internet world who are calling me sairy or sorry! You do get a pronunciation stuck in your head when you don't have a chance to actually hear someone pronounce their name. (But I still can't pronounce the car guy's new name - I do much better remembering user names when I can actually say them as a word!).

Ralph, who I let get away with calling me Don for almost two years and then I finally told him.
I coached hockey with a guy for 3 years my oldest son David and his oldest played on the same team so he figured I was like everyone else and named my first born after myself so he called me Dave for 3 years till one day we are standing in front of the rink and a parent comes up and says Don can I ask you a question and I say sure the other coach looked at me funny after the parent left he said your name is Don ? yep
