Is there any way to track a program as it runs on a computer? If there is tell me how . If not there ought to be .It would make troubleshooting some things easier. Hope this isn't a stupid question. I've been known to ask a few.

If you want to monitor processes and registry activity the utilities from Microsoft's Sysentrnals are quite handy. I haven't kept up with them since Winternals was acquired by Microsoft last year but Mark Rusanovich (one of the former owners and now Microsoft Assosiate) is one of the best Windows internalist around and I've used many of the tools available.
