Quick Help w/ Python Py2Exe Distutils Error

I recently installed py2exe and have been trying to learn how to make an executable. I run my setup.py script with py2exe, but it gives me an error that says "Distutils Error: Nothin to do". What does this mean and why won't it allow me to make an executable?
