If I woudl call a computer shop to have both of my computers looked at can they runa tgest or somethign on it to see if ANYTHING is not working correctly?

what?.....a computer repair shop will run tests to find the root of a problem...but they'd have to have a description of the problem to have any chance of fixing anything.....we kind of operate on the same idea...we can't help without some idea of what the problem is...so....what's the problem you're having anyway?

well my computer got struck by lightning a while back and was going to put it in the shop for repairs for my media center isn't working all normally..

Well, lightening strikes, severe as they are, don't usually affect software, but only hardware. However, it might affected the hardware, and the media center (assuming you're talking about Windows Media Center) is affected from the hardware issues... In short, describe the issues to us and we might be able to help

oh goodness, I appreciate that but i honestly don't know what it is for i haven't used the media center for a while cuz it jsut don't want to work all the way.. It's like my computer is running 5 times slower than it's supposed to. I have no idea..
