ok about a week ago this problem started.

It used to be when I would click on any email link... like to email the webmaster, or useing craigslist, or anything like that... it would open another window and the subject line and the to field would already be filled out. All I had to do was typ ethe body and just go from there.. .

NOW when I do the same thing... it takes FOREVER to open a new TAB not window. and it either opens a blank email no subject or to field or anything...
but when I change my email program to either outlook, or hotmail it all works just fine.

I have uninstalled Yahoo completly and reinstalled it all, cleared cashe, cookies and history... but alas its still not working... any ideas??

Which Yahoo! Mail are you using, the old one or the new one?

Also, have you been messing with your browser in any way? If so, the cause of the problem might be because you installed a new add-on for Firefox, etc.

The new one has a lot of flaws in it, seriously. Though I don't use Yahoo! Mail, I've heard a lot of bad comments from it, one containing queries about not even being able to successfully send an email.

Since you use e-mail a lot, I'd suggest you to get a program like Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook Express (pre-installed on most computers) to manage your emails. It would be far easier by doing so.

I would love to use another program, however Yahoo wont let you do POP without paying for it... and well the joy of Yahoo is that it is free :)

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Hi LiaoGoren...

Have you set Yahoo as your default e-mail? Set Default

There is an application called YPops that will allow you to check your e-mail using another client (like Thunderbird)...it's free and it works quite well.
