I have downloaded AVG anti virus, AVG antispyware and Super antispyware onto the new computer that has vista. Every time I boot up the windows security alert comes on and says that virus protection is not found and spyware and othr malware protection is turned off. How on earth do I fix this? I have uninstalled reinstalled by selecting run as admin but I have not gotten anywhere.

Thanks

Don't worry -- Windows Security isn't compatible with some third-party software, meaning it isn't able to detect them. As long as your AVG applications are running okay (confirm this by checking the AVG applications themselves in their own control panels or whatever).

You can suppress those false alerts from Windows Security by turning them off once you are sure they are false.

OK. Was just curious why it was doing it now and didnt do it on the old computer that ran XP. It is not doing it to my sons computer which is the same computer as mine excpet a different video card. Also I downloaded Zone Alarm and it too is saying there is no anti virus program detected. AVG scans everyday, updates so I know it is there and working. If there is not a problem and you do not feel I am going to be in danger then thats great. Thank you for the help.
