Hi

I recently copied some data (mainly documents & pictures) with Nero onto a CDR while out of the country. Now that I'n back on my own PC, I can't open the folder.
I checked the files on another PC while still there so I'm sure I copied them right.
Now, when I try to open the folder in which the files are, Windows first tells me that it is trying to search the files & I can hit BROWSE to search them myself. And then, it tells me that the "network connection that the shortcut refers to is unavailable and to make sure the disk is inserted properly or the network resource is available & to try again".

All the data is in one folder on the CD & shows up as a shortcut in Windows explorer. And checking the properties of the CD shows 79,872 bytes (78k) used & 0 bytes available for use.

The data is important. Please help.

you cannot open the folder on the CD (just so we're clear)?

Have you tried on a different machine?

Right click the entire folder, choose COPY, right click your desktop, choose paste...what happens?
