I'm connected through the internet via Linksys WRT54GS, wirelessly. I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 running an Intel Celeron M, 1.4Ghz. 512 MB RAM. Win XP Home.

Some files(like those drivers I needed for my laptop) downloaded fine, but almost everything else downloads about 30 percent, then pauses and stalls. It happens everytime and I can't figure out why. I tried reconfiguring the router, and ensured the computer was clean of infection. I even went so far as to reformat and reinstall XP. Same thing.

Any ideas? Thanks

Welcome to Geeks To Go. I had the same problem when I was using a Belkin router. I was able to download using Fire Fox instead of IE. It may not be your browser, could be a setting in your router configuration. You do not have to reinstall XP that i probally not the problem. try to download Fire Fox
