It looks like I have a possible virus/malware issue and it is making my computer worse each day. I keep geting these "Internet Speed Monitor" pop-ups whenever I search the web (they pop up and a new web page or new IE tab). Also, when I use Google, a new toolbar appears on the left and says "Internet Speed Monitor". It seems to be syware. However, I can't seem to remove it and now my antivirus software keeps detecting and removing trojans but I think they have already infected my computer with a nasty virus.
So far I have run several McAfee scans (8 so far) and Spybot but to no avail. I also don't see it in my "Add/Remove Programs" section. Not sre if this is relevant...but I set up a Linksys wireless connection (router and speed adapter b/c it's a desktop, not a laptop) on my computer so I could move the computer from one room to another, but this infection started before that and is getting much worse everyday, so I returned the computer to it's original location to hook up to my high speed modem. Ughhh. Very frustrated!!!
