Hi there. What is everybody using nowadays to protect there pc/laptop??? On my XP machines I usually use Zonealarm and AVG free editions and I've never had a problem. However when I tried to get them programs on my Vista laptop, they werent compatible. So my question is, what free programs are out there as a good firewall and good antivirus??

thanks

Howdy:

Both AVG and Avast have freebies that are compatible with Vista. I use Avast myself.

As for a firewall, Windows firewall is all I am using.

I am using spybot resident shield and Avg. I use a router so I feel ok with the windows fire wall. I was using one care but did not feel it was doing that much.
