what the heck does that mean?Hired it!
"This application has failed to start because d3dx9_34.dll was not found" Question Every time I try to run the game I get the following message, "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_34.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem". What does this mean? Answer That means you don’t have the correct version of DirectX. You need to install the latest version of DirectX 9.0c (found on the game disc, or www.microsoft.com). This is true even for Vista owners using DX10.

In 64-bit versions of Windows, 64-bit dll's go into the SYSTEM32 folder. 32-bit dll's go into the SYSWOW64 folder. Make sure you are placing the 64-bit version and 32-bit version of d3dx9_34.dll in their correct respective places!

I wasn't aware that pc games were available for "rent". Only console games. Please clarify if I'm under the wrong impression here.
