I saw Midnight Oil in concert about 18 years ago. There's a funny little story about that. My husband and I had only been dating a few months at that point, and I had to work on a Saturday. I was leaving work and had the radio on in my car, and heard him call in to the station and win tickets to the concert. This was before cellphones (or even carphones! I'm that old), so I couldn't wait to get home and tell him I'd heard his call. Some band named Hunters and Gatherers opened for them.

I grew up listening to all forms of classical music, except opera. My husband introduced me to opera through this particular one - it was the first opera I saw live, and it was probably the same year I saw Midnight Oil.
On a side note (well, another side note), I did get to see an opera at the Sydney Opera House when I was in Australia last year.
I'm listening to People in Planes - Vampire.
