Every so often my computer stops and a curser starts to go across the screen and it sounds like really fast typing what is that? And how do I stop it.

no- it happens most of the time when I'm on the internet. it's as if someones typing something then there's a ding and I can go on where I was going. It's not any perticular webpage either It did when I was in word working on a document the other day. My start up menu pops up also. my virus stuff is running all the time could it be something to do with that? Is it updating or something? If it is a virus my software hasn't detected it. It's annoying it's as if someone else takes control of my computer for those few minutes. Hope this helps!

Sounds like you need to start here.
You can have Anti-Virus, and Anti-spyware programs and still get infected.
It sounds to me as if you have a serious infection.

Okay I went to the malware page you sent me to. I clicked on the wait here link (which was obviously the wrong thing to do) and posted my message there and got reprimanded for posting it there. I tried to post it in the virus forum but got a message that says I can't post there. Now what do I do?

Go to the malware forum and start a new topic.
