Just getting going with new PC and Vista. I do transcription and like to wear a headset when playing the audio. I have my master volume set to max and I can't seem to get it loud enough. When I disconnect the headset from the PC and play through the speakers, it's better, but still not all that loud and not loud enough for me to hear over the clicking keyboard. Any other settings I could change? I'm pretty sure I've maxed everything out, but am wondering if there's some setting I'm missing somewhere.

You could always try a third party program to boost the audio signal...

...but what this sounds like is a cruddy sound card\port

Either A. Get a new sound card or B. Get quality headphones that can amplify the sound
