i followed these instructions - but something went wrong, and i lost the icon picture for photoshop, indesign, and google sketchup.
it has been replaced with the generic symbol for when there is a missing link. i also attempted to remove the txt from my icons on the desktop using hodon control and enterinng a number, i got it to work onn 4 of the icons, three of them are the ones that hav now disappeared, i dont know if it had any impact. im on vista 64bit home premium.

here are the instructions i followed.

Hi,

You can remove the shortcut arrow from your icons by doing the following.

1. Copy and Paste the following code into Notepad and save it as "Remove Shortcut Arrows.reg" (without the quotes)

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile]
@="Shortcut"
"EditFlags"=dword:00000001
"FriendlyTypeName"="@shell32.dll,-4153"
"NeverShowExt"=""

any ideas how i can reverse what happened??

thanks in advance.
