Hi,
When I start my computer (vista 32), it stalls for 10-11 minutes after CLASSPNP.SYS is loaded and before hotcore3.sys is.
I have run HJT and checked and rechecked with no improvement.
Does anyone have a suggestion ?
Thanks.

system32\drivers\CLASSPNP.SYS
system32\drivers\hotcore3.sys

These are both drivers....someplace along the line, there is a conflict. This article explains some of it:

Thanks Jacee. You've got a point there. But how do I solve the problem ? Should I cancel one of these, and how ?
Thanks for your help.

You can start with disabling unnecessary services. BlackViper has a pretty good list here:

Thanks for your suggestion.
I have preceeded accordingly and disabled as much services as recommended by BlackViper. No change, whatsoever unfortunately on the start procedure... What else should I check ? What is the hotcore3.sys driver doing exactly ?
By the way, I have found a strange service on my list:
##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##
related as indicated to Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe
Would you have any idea what that could be ?
Thanks again.

Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe is legit. This article will tell you how to stop the service or remove it.
http://www.raymond.c...nsresponderexe/

Path found: C:\ windows\ system32\ drivers\ hotcore3.sys
Company: Paragon Software Group
Product: HotBackup
Description: Hotbackup helper driver

Info and security rating about hotcore3 . sys process

Filetype : driver
A driver is used by windows to control your hardware. Each hardware component in your computer must have a driver, otherwise it cannot be used by windows

What antivirus is on your machine? Do you have it set to check your system at startup?

Thanks for your message.
I will disable the Bonjour service.
I have Kasperky Internet Suite and it scans once daily, but not at startup.
I have not found the hotcore3.sys in the registry. And I do not have the Paragon Hotbackup software on my machine.
Is it stalling because it does not find any matching program ? Why does it load if it is not needed ? Where does it get the instruction from ? Is it possible to remove it ?
Thanks for your time and precious help.
