hi i am also having the same problem with ftdisk.sys corrupted
but in my case i am not downgrading, i think its started when i change my cmos battery..
when i am starting windows.. it suddenly stops when i choose start windows normally and
when i try reformating my HDD the same error accured "ftdisk.sys corrupted"
and i try my HDD to my other system and start windows normally and no problem accured
and i dont need to reformat my HDD.. what could have cause this problem??..
