I recently moved my computer stuff around and now I can't connect to the internet directly or through a router. Both the router and network card light up saying there is a connection, yet still no internet. I tried resetting my router, and even reinstalling it but I only get so far. When they tell me to enter the ip 192.168.1.1 into my browser, I don't get anything. So when the router didn't work, I took the ethernet cord that is connected to my modem and connected it directly to the computer I want internet on. It still doesn't work. I'm getting fairly upset because I'm generally good with this kind of stuff. The router is a Linksys Wired. If anyone could help me I'd be really grateful. Thanks for your time.
Also, the initial way I hooked up my computers was like this:
Computer 1 (Working) >>USB Cord>> Modem >>Ethernet Cord>> Router >>Ethernet Cord>> Computer 2 (Not Working)
I also have a connection from my Router to my Wii and I can access the internet with that, which is another reason I'm confused. COuld it be the network card?
