cannot get computer to Safe Mode

Hi! I logged in and followed your step by step instructions on things to do before posting a log. I got to part about rebooting the computer to safe mode to run AVG Anti-Spyware. My computer gave me error about new viruses. I have attched the log from HijackThis. I hope I am doing this correctly. Please let know what you think or what I need to do.

My computer runs very slow. Slower now since I added the program AVG. I have to manually connect to my wireless card now also. I am very challenged when it comes to computers. Knowing me I have done something to cause this. Also, my daughter plays lots of games on this computer. Could that be a problem?

Anyways, I could go on and on.
