I recenlty bought a Dell Vostro laptop and every time i use the web if i leave my laptop idle for about ten minutes it disconnects - is there any chance this is a setting that i can change or is it more likely to be a fault?

From the control panel, click on 'power options'. From there, choose your power plan settings.

Thanks very much for that. Although I'm not on my laptop at the moment I'm on my desktop at work and have just had a look at that part of the control panel. There doesn't seem to be anything there relating specifically to the internet, however, and that's the problem, that my connection to the web goes even if the computer doesn't hibernate etc?
