Hello again, this problem concerns a system which has not been stable for some time. Until recently I have been unable to pinpoint the problem but have since had the following message- 'Patch for installed CPU not loaded please run the bios flash update diskette'. The motherboard is a D1215 (Fujitsu Siemens) and the Bios type, as far as I understand it, is a 28pin PLCC by INTEL (FW8280IBA L0480258 SL4HM INTEL MC/99 if that makes any sense to anyone). I have tried to understand the correct procedure for installing this patch having (I think) found it on the Fujitsu Siemens website but I need a simple explanation regarding adding it to a bootable disk etc. I can't seem to find an email address for tech help from FS and the only tech help by phone is an premium rate number. Please let me know if you need more info on this system. Thanks.
